King’s Crown?

elvis_ro_12.jpg Would you like to own a model of Elvis‘ teeth…really? If so, please let me know why! Don’t get me wrong I love the King, but what would you do with a model of his teeth?

Still interested? Then this story may be for you- the family of former Memphis dentist Dr. Henry Weiss will put a model of Elvis Presley’s teeth and a crown made for the star up for auction on e-Bay January 8th. Weiss was Presley’s dentist through 1971. He affectionately called the crown the “King’s Crown.” The model and crown will be accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity signed by Joe Esposito, Presley’s Road Manager from 1960 until his death in 1977.

This auction is in conjunction with the King’s birthday, he would have been 72 today.

Fans from around the world are expected to gather in Memphis today for the King of Rock-N-Roll’s birthday. Graceland will host its annual birthday proclamation ceremony on its front lawn. That’s when officials with the city, county and graceland itself will proclaim today as Elvis Presley day.

Elvis will always be regarded as one of the most important figures for his influence on music of all genres.
