Flugtag Breaks Records in the Ville!

Over 80-thousand folks staked out spots on Nashville’s Riverfront Park for Red Bull Flugtag. It was the first time the event took place in Music City, but I’m sure it will not be the last. Not only did Nashville set a record attendance for the largest Flugtag crowd ever in the U.S., but team Rocky Top Rocket from Kentucky set the North American record for flying the furthest distance with 155 feet.

As we gear up for one of the nation’s best fireworks displays to take over downtown, I can only hope that I score the rooftop spot I had for Flugtag. The building on first was perfect for catching every move and check out the pics I snapped of the crowd!

Want to see some of the homemade human-powered flying machines? Why would you plummet 30 feet off a ramp into the Cumberland River and what are these cave noises all about? Watch my story HERE! I interviewed one of Nashville’s local teams Pteam Pterodactyl, featuring Rebecca Moss. Rebecca participated in the event as an airbrushed tiger- grrr!

You can see the bajo take flight on Red Bull’s website HERE!
