Tanya Tucker’s Stuff Stolen by Ex~

tanya.jpg Tanya Tucker‘s former fiance was arrested and charged with stealing $500,000 worth of her wardrobe and jewelry.

Las Vegas police say Jerry Laseter was picked up by Saturday in Las Vegas. He was driving a U-Haul carrying the items when he allegedly broke away from a caravan of vehicles driving with Tucker from Nashville to a gig in Las Vegas.

A police report says Laseter threatened to sell the items if Tucker didn’t send money for gasoline. Tucker told police she agreed to give Laseter $1,000 and two tickets back to Nashville.

Laseter and Chrislynn Jones were charged with felony theft and released on $3,000 bail each. Police say the wardrobe and jewelry were recovered and returned to Tucker.

Apparently Laseter also left a note for Tanya: “When you are trying to get someone over a barrel, make sure you got a strong barrel” (Punctuated with an expletive).

Laseter is a well known guitar player and co-producer of Tucker’s 2002 album Tanya.
