Christmas Cheer is Here: Part 2

After a nice nights sleep in my plush bed at the Opryland Hotel, I decided to check out its new spa Relache. Yes, it was top notch. There was a nice relaxation room and everything one could desire in the changing room. My Swedish massage was perfect. I wish I could have hung out longer and enjoyed the sauna, but I was off to Christmas on the Cumberland on the General Jackson showboat.

After a 3-course dinner the show kicked in full swing with a slew of bearded Santa’s. Traditional holiday songs continued from the talents of Miss American 2004 Ericka Dunlap (pictured), Cyndi Wheeler, Natalie Caprano, Kymberlee Thompson, Matt Newton, Percy L. Travis III, Rodney Williams
and Paul Vann.

As the cast kept us entertained, the warm Southern hospitality of the staff helped keep are tummies satisfied. I stepped out on the dock for a break and discovered another world of beauty, the sight as the 300-foot paddlewheel riverboat rolled into the city.

These types of nights make me truly appreciate my hometown and what an honor it is too be back in it.

Now, if I could just move into Gaylord Opryland Resort Hotel & Convention Center life would be close to perfect.

I do hope to go back soon and catch ICE! Featuring how the Grinch Stole Christmas! I heard the 2 million pounds of sculptured ice is amazing. We have until January 2nd to check it out!
