A Nashville State of Mind

I went to check out A Nashville State of Mind at the Nashville Film Festival Sunday night. It was interesting watching a movie about Nashville from a transplants point of view. My gal pal Micah said it summed up the Nashville vibe that she would try and share with her friends over seas.

Samantha Gibb of the band M.E.G produced the film and tells the story partially through her eyes.

There are intimate performances and interviews from dozens of local artists (outside of country) including Ricky Young, Space Capone, Aaron Wintersand Jeremy Lister throughout the movie. Hank III and Mike Grimes also make appearances.

After the movie everyone headed to the Mercy Lounge where we got our own live performance from most all of the bands featured in the movie. It was a real treat!

Also pictured- directors John-Martin Vogel and Eric LaRocca Mainade. Yes- we got Eric to do some hooping out in the parking lot. Good times!
