Miro District: flavors of Italy & traditions of Tennessee

Jerry Brown has now opened the doors to his latest fine dining venture, Miro District. The sleek restaurant is situated at the bottom of the trendy Adelicia high rise. Brown, who is also the man behind the ever so popular Watermark in The Gulch, graciously held a special invitation only tasting last Thursday. The place was packed as guests nibbled on items from the menu like Lamb loin with basil crust, ricotta gnocchi, mussels, smoked fish, braised veal cheeks, scrumptious desserts and fine wines. It was all deelish!

Here is the cool little story behind the place, according to the menu:
In the late 18th Century Miro District was the territorial name for Nashvile and its surrounding region. Decades later, in his short story “In the Miro District,” Peter Taylor depicted life in Nashville’s Acklen Park neighborhood as a “gentler world…known as the Miro District.”

Today, in this very neighborhood, we bring to like this gentler world once more at Miro District Food & Drink, inspired by the flavors of Italy and the traditions of Tennessee. ~Amare la Vita
