Hank III plays Nashville honky tonk

Hank Williams III plays regularly at sold out venues across the Country, but recently Nashvillians got a special treat. The grandson of Hank Williams, Sr. and the son of Hank Williams, Jr. recently brought his self-described “hellbilly” music to Layla’s Bluegrass Inn on Broadway for a series of shows (once a week for more than a month). After playing his set of more traditional country music, Hank III and his band played some of the punk metal stuff of Assjack. The guys tell me they had some time off and wanted to play “for the hell of it.”

Hank III will be on tour with Those Poor Bastards in February. The band says they may play another show at Layla’s before then.

Oh how I miss the days of traveling with these guys…
