Nappy Roots plays two Nashville shows~

Kentucky rappers Nappy Roots took the stage at 12th and Porter Friday night. If you didn’t make the show you have the opportunity yet again tonight (Saturday). Known for their 2002 debut Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz and club hit Awnaw. These guys have been on the rap seen for 15 years and just released their latest album, Pursuit of Nappyness. The 21-and-older shows start at 8 p.m., but they went on closer to 10 Friday night, tickets are $15.

My gals and I popped back and forth from the show to Mai. Where they are hosting a new “Southern Hospitality” promo. Ladies get an open (sponsored) bar till midnight, no cover & free tables. Guys get free cover before 11 (only $5 after) and a 2 for 1 drink special until midnight. Quite a deal, if I do say so myself. The rappers even came over after the show to hang at the club. Fun times!
