Chris Young & Justin Moore announce 1st round of CMA noms~

The first round of nominees for “The 44th Annual CMA Awards” were announced Tuesday at the historic Ryman Auditorium by Justin Moore and Chris Young. The hosts kicked off the morning with live performances, following the group Steal Magnolia. The country duo revealed the 2010 CMA Broadcast Personality and Radio Station of the Year finalists and were later made aware of their Vocal Duo of the Year nomination.

Miranda Lambert raked in the most nominations for “The House That Built Me” and “White Liar.” The country cutie will be competing with her soon to be hubby’s “Hillbilly Bone” for Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year.

Lady A also scored several noms including; Music Video of the year, Single of the year and Vocal Group of the Year. Other highlights included Chris Young garnering his first CMA nomination in the New Artist of the Year category. I got a chance to talk to some of today’s nominees. Additional CMA Award final nominees will be announced Wednesday, Sept. 1 (8:30 AM/All time zones) on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” The awards will be held November 10th at the Bridgestone Arena.
