A Midsummer’s Cabaret~

A bevy of Nashville’s burlesque beauties warmed up the humid temps even more Friday night at The Rutledge, with Cake or Death Productions’ “A Midsummer’s Cabaret.”

The Hillside Stragglers (featuring Richie Owens, Kim Collins, Randy Hunt, & Kathy Berkley) performed for most of the numbers. Kim Collin’s chilling voice provided an even more sexually seductive mood in the small room. A few of the numbers that were choreographed to recorded music were thrown off when the songs kept skipping beets, but it didn’t seem to slow down the talent.

One of my favorites, Bianca 13 danced seductively into everyone’s hearts in her bed routine, while Hunee B. Hayve of the Memphis Belles Burlesque Troupe left heads spinning her balancing plates act and The Aerial Fabricators doubled up on silks swinging from the air! Truvy Trollop & Lux-o-Matic closed out the show with a fabulously hypnotic number to Wade in the Water. Other performers, in the two show evening, included; Freya Luna, Kinetic Kristen and Rose Hips.
