Miranda Lambert Celebrates 2nd #1 with “The House That Built Me”

Music city insiders gathered at Sambuca Tuesday night to celebrate Miranda Lambert‘s second number one, The House That Built Me. The single has spent four weeks at number one! The song was written by BMI’s Tom Douglas and ASCAP’s Allen Shamblin several years ago.

Miranda shared stories of how the song was originally on hold for her fiance Blake Shelton and how she cries everytime she performs it. Miranda joked calling Blake her finance, “but I’m going to finance him after this.” The plaque Miranda received even had a photo of “the home that built her.” Her future husband also came out for support and mingled amongst the crowd.

It’s been a big day for Miranda whose video “Only Prettier” also made it’s debut. You can check it out on the post below!
