Vendors, shoppers want flea market to remain at fairgrounds

Despite possibly relocating venues, vendors and shoppers are opposed to the idea of moving the Nashville flea market from the fairgrounds to Hickory Hollow Mall.

The monthly flea market attracts thousands of shoppers each month. Vendors and dealers come from more than 30 states to sell their items.

Many shoppers make the monthly flea market a tradition and are not happy about the mayor’s proposed planning of relocating it to Hickory Hollow Mall.

Among the thousands of shoppers at Saturday’s flea market were several Metro Council Members who were there to get opinions of shoppers and vendors about the potential move.

The next hearing on the topic is scheduled for December 7th.
