I took a leap of faith to raise awareness for MS~

I leaped from a plane with some 100 other brave souls Sunday to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis. You can watch my 1st skydiving experience above.

Tyler Parrish is the founder of Falling for a Cure.

“The idea behind it was to do something different than just going on a walk or a bike ride,” Parrish said, adding, “We decided we wanted to do something that was potentially as scary as being told you have the diagnosis, so we decided on skydiving.”

Parrish told Nashville’s News 2 his father suffers from the disease and he has seen first hand the effects the disease, which affects the brain and central nervous system.

“One of the spookiest things about MS is that it affects people differently. For instance, some people may wake up one day and not be able to see. My dad has slowly progressed and gotten worse,” he explained.

Parrish said he plans to host another MS skydiving event next month at Adventure Skydiving Tennessee.
