Charlie Daniels chats about life at 76

At 76 years old, fiddle playing legend Charlie Daniels has no plans of slowing down. He took time to catch up with Yallwire host Stephanie Langston and talk about his biggest accomplishments, today’s social media world, and of course all of the opportunities he takes to give back. His latest endeavor was hosting “Scholarships for Heroes,” a charity event benefiting Sentinels of Freedom and veteran students of Lipscomb University at The Palm in Nashville. Yallwire was there for the event that also brought out Staind’s frontman Aaron Lewis. Sentinels of Freedom has a mission to provide life-changing opportunities for men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who have suffered severe injuries. Daniels is also releasing a new album, “HALLELUJAH: It’s Christmas Time Again,” with proceeds going to the Armed Services YMCA youth charity.
