Red Carpet coverage of the 2012 SESAC Awards with Hillary Scott, The Avett Brothers, The Cast of Nashville & more

The kick off to a star-studded week in Nashville began Sunday night with the 2012 SESAC Nashville Music Awards and Yallwire was there. I caught up with several of the night’s honorees on the red carpet including Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott, a three-time SESAC songwriter of the year winner. Scott talked about being honored for three Lady A tunes and the Sara Evans No.1 hit “A Little Bit Stronger.” The Nashville-based performing rights organization kicked off the evening at the Pinnacle at Symphony Place, with a special tribute to the 30th anniversary of Bluebird Cafe. Gary Burr, Victoria Shaw, Don Henry and Kim Williams performed a few of their famous tunes and actors Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio of the new ABC drama ‘Nashville’ took the stage for the tribute. The guys also chatted with me about their true love for the songwriting community.
